Translation of documents

Please enclose translations of diplomas/certificates and transcripts for the qualifications you wish to have assessed. However, we do not need translations of the educational documents if they are in English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish or Norwegian, or if you attach a Diploma Supplement issued in one of the languages mentioned,

As an applicant, you are responsible for finding a translator.

Requirements for translations

The translation must be in Danish, English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish or Norwegian.

The translation must be signed or stamped by a professional translator or a relevant authority.

Documents translated or certified in Denmark

For example, we accept translations made or confirmed by one of the following:

• a translator who is certified by the Danish Association of Certified Translators and Interpreters
• a translator who is affiliated with a translation agency or an interpreting company
• a translator who works for a municipality or other public authority on a regular basis
• the embassy or consulate in Denmark of the country where the original document was issued or the translation was made.

Documents translated or certified in the country of education

We accept translations made or confirmed by one of the following:

• the institution that issued the document

• a public authority in the country of education, in the form of a legalised translation

• a translator approved by an authority in the country of education

• China: China Credentials Verification, in the form of a "credential report" in English.

Are you in doubt about the translation requirements?

You can ask a credential evaluator specialised in qualifications from the country in question whether the agency can accept a translation that does not follow the mentioned rules.
