Space and Denmark

2016 saw the introduction of Denmark's first Space Law (the Outer Space Act of 11 May 2016) which was followed up by an Executive Order on the requirements in connection with approval of activities in outer space (an English version of the Executive Order do not exist).

The first Danish Space Strategy was published in 2016, updated in 2021 and in 2024 supplemented with national priorities for Danish space research, innovation and technology development 2025-2035

For launching an object in the state of Denmark, on a Danish vessel or by a Danish operator a prior approval from the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science is needed. Please contact the Agency if you have any questions.
